Nothing seems to work. This phone has A LOT of sentimental value to me and I really need to get it working. Is there a program out there I can use to bypass whatever is f.king up my restore? I also tried a program called 3uTools that flashes a completely new firmware and file system to the device but at around 80% it fails as well. Sep 25, 2018 Anyone have any ideas? I have been reading things like 'Replace the NAND', but I don't know if that is the problem before I open it up. When it is in recovery mode, the 'iDevice' tab reads all of the correct info, except nothing is reported for the device size.

Did you encounter any error codes in 3uTools when you flashing an iOS firmware?
Here is the solution about how to fix 'Error: Unable to read ECID(Normal)', as below:
Why did this error happen?
A Broken cable
Unstable USB port
Abnormal driver
Partly hardware problem
How to solve the problem?
Change an original cable and try again
Use a rear USB port on your PC
Fix iTunes driver problem in 3uTools
Restore in iTunes
Ask Apple support if the device still in the warranty. (Connect with 3uTools, check the warranty on the 'iDevice' page)
Check the hardware problem in the local authoritative repair store
